First Traffic Stop (Boosted Audio) — Bryan Kohberger (Alleged Idaho Quadruple Murderer)

This pretextual stop was a smashing success, so much so that they decided to try it again later that day so that they might elicit yet more incriminating information.

This cop was backed up by FBI all around him but unseen. Probably a helicopter as well. Same with the subsequent stop.

His father gratuitously brought up WSU. Bryan was horrified that he did so. Then, for evidentiary purposes (clarity of the record), the cop wanted him to clearly repeat that they were coming from WSU, less than 10 miles from UI.

Bryan is severely annoyed with his father here. The cop asked where they were going. B then said to get Thai food. Then his father volunteered the info about coming from WSU. Then B again said they were going to get Thai food, wanting to keep the focus there (he said it yet a third time later). But then the cop focused like a laser on WSU since this was incriminating info and that was what the stop was for. The cop then, for evidentiary purposes (clarity of the record), wanted him to clearly repeat that they were coming from WSU, less than 10 miles from UI.

This was a pretextual stop designed to elicit precisely this kind of incriminating information. This stop was golden and will be used at trial. The father VOLUNTEERED the info about coming from less than 10 miles from the murder scene. This horrified Bryan. At this point, he knew he was doomed.
