Using a slant board or any ramp that you can make using plastic steps, plates, etc., start with one leg centered on the slantboard. Hold onto dumbbells (they can be very light), and focus on bending the base leg while keeping the floating leg straight and out in front. Tap the heel down on the ground in front of the slant board and then lock the base leg again by squeezing the quads to stand up straight again.
Trainer Tips: These are used for Knee prehab and rehab, and should be started with light weight. These purposely stress the knee and the quads to build up resilience and stability around the knee. We want to just tap the heel here on the ground, but feel free to plant it if you lose your balance.
