I was wondering why the "first pass" of Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad ELS 503 (SD40) northbound only had a flag behind it's freight train of Pulpwood and boxcars, most likely for Louisiana Pacific in Sagola, MI where they make OSB. A few hours later ELS 503 (only power) made a move back south and 2 hours later came back with the rest of the train including FRED. They must have split their train up in Wisconsin somewhere, rather than pulling it all at once?
