What’s Concerning Us? – B16’s broken Heart!
Guido Horst, Chief Editor of the German Catholic weekly Die Tagespost
Guido Horst: Pope Benedict's lifting of restrictions on the celebration of the extraordinary form of the Roman Rite according to the 1962 missal did not last as long as he intended: as Pope Emeritus, he witnessed the promulgation of Pope Francis' Motu Proprio Traditionis Custodes. Was he disappointed?

Archbishop Gänswein:it hit him very hard. I think it broke Pope Benedict's heart to read the new Motu Proprio, because his intention was to help those who had simply found a home in the old Mass find inner peace, liturgical peace, away from Lefebvre.
