Decline Pushups Bench or Box

Use a bench or a weight bench to elevate the lower body off the ground. Start in a pushup position with your hands directly under your shoulders and your legs and core engaged. Spread your fingers and squeeze your fingertips into the ground. Lower yourself by bending your elbows until your chest touches or gets close to the floor. This decline angle will target the shoulders.

Trainer Tip: If you are still having trouble with these, put the feet as wide as possible. This will change your center of mass and will make these much easier for you. Also, imagine you are pushing the floor away from you. This cue helps to engage the upper back more to help perform the reps.
