Deadlift the DB off the floor and pick it up so that your hands are under 1 head of the dumbbell. Stand with your feet wider than or at shoulder width and the knees and feet slightly turned out. Keep your core tight and squat down doing mini reps or pulses at the bottom. This will put constant tension on the glutes and hamstrings. Squeeze the glutes at the top for your final rep to stand up straight before deadlifting the weight back to the floor.
