Tommy DeAddio, Corona Cigar Company - Tampa’s GM, sits down with us to show off a few of our exclusive Single Barrel Picks. When we pick a barrel, we always go for ones that give you a front-forward sweetness so they can pair well with our vast selection of cigars.

We start out with one of the first ever single barrel picks that Corona Cigar Company did, the Four Roses Single Barrel. This was the first time that we ever did an OBSK (60% Corn, 35% Rye, 5% Malted Barley) – the ‘B’ is a higher rye recipe, and the ‘K’ is spicy yeast. It’s 112.2 proof and has flavor notes of spice, cherries, and plum.

Next up is the Rare Character which is the first ever to hit the state of Florida. We collaborated with our friends from Life of Luxe to create this Single Barrel Pick. It’s distilled in Indiana, made in MGP, then it was aged for 6 years and 4 months in Kentucky. It’s 116.26 proof with notes of cherry, wood, and caramel.

Following that is Staves & Grains. It was distilled in MGP then aged for 7 years in New Jersey. The interesting thing about Staves and Grains barrels is that they are naturally fire-cured barrels which gives it an extra sweetness. It’s 119.2 proof with notes of cherry, cinnamon, mint, and citrus.

Finally, we have the Buffalo Trace Single Barrel Pick. The higher rye brings out the flavor of a 90 proof Bourbon. It has flavor notes of anise, dark fruit, mint, and vanilla.
