Palm Sunday is a unique day of celebration on the Christian calendar because it was on this day that the Lord Jesus proved that He was the Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of the world - to the exclusion of all others. How did He do this? The key lay in the prophesy given by the Prophet Daniel in Daniel 9:25-26. In this prophesy Daniel predicts the precise day that the Messiah would present Himself to the Jewish nation. Since Jesus was the only one to do this on the right day, we can know that He - and He alone - is the long predicted and awaited Messiah of the Bible.
