US Virgin Islands AG Denise George who just sued JP Morgan Chase in federal court in Manhattan for allegedly enabling the financial part of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking operation, was fired by the newly re-elected Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. right at year’s end.

Anonymous sources told the Virgin Islands Consortium that he had been frustrated with her for a while and that this was the final straw.

Maybe the middle straw was the largest settlement made in the history of the VI, made by this prosecutor, getting $80 million from Epstein’s estate in what she described as fraudulently obtained economic development funds. Those funds had been approved by Gov. Bryan when he was head of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Agency. Another anonymous source told The Guardian that JP Morgan had ended its relationship with Epstein “long” before his activities “became known.,” as reported by the VI Consortium.
