Bench Band Pull Aparts

Lay across a flat bench and get into a position as if you were going to bench press. Pull your feet under the bench, drive the feet into the floor and hold a pullup or loop band in each hand about shoulder width apart. Pull your shoulder blades back as if you were “grabbing the bench” with your back. Pull the band apart across the chest and squeeze all muscles behind you including your triceps, back muscles, and neck. Squeeze for a second or two before controlling the band back to shoulder width. Repeat for the allotted repetitions.
Trainer Tip:
Move your hands closer together for more tension or farther apart for less tension before starting.
