Band Assisted L-Sit Isometric Holds
Loop a band to a pullup bar to take assist you during your L-Sit holds. The thicker the band the more assistance you will have. Position yourself so that your ankles are directly under the bands origin and Parallettes or hex dumbbells are placed next to your hips. Push up through the fists with your arms locked out squeezing your abs and flexing your legs as hard as possible to hold your legs off of the ground. I like to point my toes as hard as possible forward to flex my quads harder, but these can also be done by pulling the toes toward the face.
Trainer Tip: Two options are shown here with the hands either in a neutral grip, or hands pronated using the hex heads as grips. We prefer you master all grips, but if you have wrist pain the neutral grip will be safer.
