Home Depot 36 Inch Trencher Rental Ditch Witch DIY in 4D REVIEW

It is worth every penny
NEC Code Electrical Lines (TRENCH Depth Needed)
Rigid Metal 6"
PVC 18"
Direct Burial 24"
Steps:
Good old hard work. Hard Rakes move debris and dirt on both sides to get your lines, way before spraying paint, that is typically just before you trench.
Once you have your lines, and layout, you can not go through 3-6” of hand digging (pick, hammers and hand tools for first layer. This will help you know what’s below and it is typically best as you might come across items that the Trencher will cause harm.
Go get the 18-24”
(Its lighter and easier to handle.)
After you go through 1 time, if you have someone helping, all of the dirt and rocks need to be hard raked and re-set for larger trencher.
More than likely, depending on how much, go and get the 36”
We went (twice on 24” and once real slow on 36”)
*Then had a ton of jack hammering strata, areas of large rocks and issues)
After that, we were 18-24” and lay out all of PVC and Direct Burial lines.
It was all inspected by Hartman General Contractor; I also had a 20 year vet pull the main
Substations 2 AWG and from there we were good to go.
Hope this helps you save time (the most precious resource) and some money and some injuries.
Onward.
