In only five minutes, I'll explain why doing exercise is wonderful for your health but not for losing weight. When it comes to weight loss, the most important thing is to create a calorie deficit.

This means that you need to burn more calories than you consume. Exercise can help you burn calories, but it's not the most efficient way to do so. There are two main types of exercise: aerobic and anaerobic.

Aerobic exercise, such as walking or running, uses oxygen to fuel your muscles. Anaerobic exercise, such as weightlifting, uses glycogen ( stored sugar ) for energy. Aerobic exercise is better for burning calories, but it's not as effective as anaerobic exercise for building muscle. Muscle tissue burns more calories than fat tissue, so the more muscle you have, the more calories you'll burn at rest.

That's why people who are trying to lose weight should focus on building muscle through strength training, not just doing cardio. Doing some form of exercise is still important for your health, even if it's not the best way to lose weight.

Exercise has been shown to improve mental health, increase lifespan, and lower the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease and diabetes. So if you're looking to improve your health, don't overlook the importance of exercise just don't expect it to help you lose weight.
