'Nothing to see here!' The older this Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Black Pearl' gets, the darker and more saturated the blooms are. In my 4th year with Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Black Pearl', the intensity and density of the color of the blooms is more and more solid. When the light does penetrate at an angle the blooms show a hue of burgundy. The fragrance of Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Black Pearl' is the most divine that I have experienced compared to all the blooms I have had the pleasure of cultivating. Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Black Pearl' has a very strong, dominating fragrance that easily fills a room, even when the sunlight does not shine on the orchid. Heavy on the ginger and lingering notes of cinnamon sugar. Overall, the fragrance is spicy because of the ginger being so dominant. I can only say that, experiencing the fragrance of Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Black Pearl' is nothing short of delicious and mouth wateringly beautiful. I grow my Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Black Pearl' in #leca and #selfwatering and do not repot every year. Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Black Pearl' blooms once the orchid is in dormancy, the leaves have dropped and in my climate during the winter months, between December & February. The bloom duration of the Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Black Pearl' easily lasts 6 weeks, and if conditions are favorable, 8 weeks. When in active growth, Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Black Pearl' gets fertilized and watered every second day because the orchid needs that much sustenance to grow a massive growth without taxing the older structures. Older structures will only serve as storage organs or, a great way to propagate Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Black Pearl'. Once Fredclarkeara After Dark 'Black Pearl' has finished blooming it will remain dormant until the daylight lengthens again, which triggers the start of a new growth and then..., bring it on! Get the grow on 👍🏼 #orchids #orchidcare #catasetum #catasetinae #orquideas #plantas #orchideen #orchids #dormant #resting
