Temperature tolerance for Maxillaria variabilis is from 5ºC - 40ºC / 41ºF - 104ºF. Maxillaria variabilis needs a lot of water to grow well, and fertilizing all year round. Maxillaria variabilis likes a lot of light. In warm dry climates, Maxillaria variabilis should not be exposed to direct sun during the summer months, but can take the direct sun during the winter months.
