HPS Watch List New Years Week

Well, a new year is upon us. I can almost with certainty tell you that we’re in better shape this January 1st than we were last January 1st.

We’re still not out of the woods 100% and it’s difficult to say if the bottom is gonna be in the early part of this year or later in the year so we have to be cautious when we talk about longer-term positions. With that said, this week’s watchlist goes over some quality names and the reasons I like them.

We have some major economic events this week, which will be a catalyst for the market in one way or another.

The jobs report is the big one on Friday, but we also have the ISM manufacturing PMI at 10 AM on Wednesday and we also have FOMC meeting minutes at 2 PM on Wednesday ADP non-farm employment change at 8:15 on Thursday
