According to both the WNBA and NWSL...2022 was a banner year for both leagues' growth in popularity. The NWSL is touting ratings for their championship game...while the WNBA continues talking about expanding the league to meet popularity demands.
We reveal and react to an article from Yahoo Sports...which falsely claims both the WNBA and NWSL are surging in popularity. We dispute numerous claims in the article...one in which uses the social media popularity of Oliva Dunne to claim women's sports are surging. We explain why both the WNBA and NWSL are a failed business model on television...and will likely never draw respectable ratings.
