Easily Teach Your Dog STAY #shorts #dog

Do you have a dog that won't stay? Lets break it down for them.
1. Put on stay shift weight back and forth and reward dog.

2. Lift foot and put down in the same oposition as you were walking and reward your dog.

3. Now take one step backward and forward then reward.

4. Gradually add more steps but always return to starting position to reward.

5. Over time you will be able to create distance and your dog will stay no matter what distractions are going on around them.

You want as many successes as possible limiting fails as much as you can. How do you do this? By taking a gradual approach not rushing things. By not overdoing the training with your dog. Especially a puppy. Puppies have short attention spans and you do not want them to get bored which will result in fails. And lastly TIMING. Timing is key to your success with everything in dog trainining. Your praise and corrections need to be properly timed so your dog understands what you are trying to communicate with them.
