Charcoal Retort Upgrade

We burned out our down draft retort. Down draft means the gases that are forced out of the wood to convert to charcoal leave the retort at the bottom of the barrel. This makes for clean equipment since the tar that is produced is burned away.

The inner barrel is replaced and viewer comments are incorporated in the new design.

Using the new charcoal we make a kitchen shelf out of a hog panel.
