Although it was after Christmas, we wanted to check out one more market and the Christmas Village in Liège was still open. We drove just under and hour and found parking just outside the market area-- and because we went during the day, it was not crowded at all.

Faithful to the time-old Germanic tradition of Christmas markets, in the heart of the city, Liège's Christmas Village recreates the special and magical spirit of the Christmas festivities. However, faithful also to its Latin character, with the support of its Council of Villagers and many food-purveying chalets, the Christmas Village innovates in a festive and friendly atmosphere that has become its distinctive feature, distinguishing it from its fellow markets in Germany and Alsace. November–December.
