After Danielle Smith announced Bill 1, the “Alberta Sovereignty within a United Canada Act,” activists who prefer a left-leaning government organized a protest expressing opposition to sovereignty. Benita Pedersen organized a counter-protest that clearly expressed support for sovereignty.

Benita Pedersen is a freedom advocate. She has been organizing events that support the protection and restoration of individual freedoms, individual rights, and individual responsibilities since February 2021.
