This video shows just how bad Portland , OREGON has become.

I used to live in Portland from 1994 -96 and at the time it seemed like where everyone was going in search of that “hipness” coolness, weirdness , new age , etc.

I got my mountain bike ripped off by the Burnside Bridge . I went to check out a band I was going to audition for and just locked my front tire of my Yukon Giant that just got delivered 2 weeks before.

I walked out of the bar and saw just my tire left 😂 I walked home w my tire in my hands all the way back to Broadway st by LLOYDS Mall. I began to really hate Portland at this point.

When I left, I was trying to get a job at Torefaciione , a pure Italian Coffee shop that smeared at you if you wanted sugar in your mocha. I had so much experience w coffee and they didn’t hire me after the interview. I called back and demanded to know why ??
They said it was my beard. I laughed and said Incan shave it off - so now what’s your excuse ? They freaked and told me I had the job but so said I booked a ticket anyway back to reality — the Midwest of These United States.

Looks like that decision aged very well.

The 2 buddies that tried to open a fancy restaurant, “ Taqueria Nueva” had some success but then went bankrupt as the rent soared by 300% hahaha — jeez what an armpit of an city.
