In the Senate just passed a 1.7 trillion dollar budget. The deal broadly speaking was we want an extra 50 billion dollars for defense. On top of like you know, we're sending 50 billion dollars to Ukraine. But we want another 50 billion dollars in defense basically just to prime the pump for these big military-industrial donors. And you'll get an increase in spending on the domestic side. EPA got an extra 10 billion dollars Etc et cetera et cetera. Still less domestically than the total that we spend. Of course. And what we spend. It's America. yeah, I know I understand but I always bring this up Bernie Sanders's college for all plan I think is like 48 billion dollars a year so virtually identical to the increase in just one year to the military. And let's be clear that's one year but that 48 billion dollars are going to be in it next year. They're going to add to it probably but that's a 48. That's like taking a separate program and saying we're going to start another program. It's going to cost 50 billion dollars a year on top of the other 800 billion dollars that's already there. and this is on top of the extra 30 billion dollars that the year before they added. I mean so they have started new programs they just call that defense essentially. And it is just defense. It's I mean it really is stunning. And the amount of debate that's associated with it. Now of course you get these Republicans who don't really have a problem with the defense, they just have a problem with spending. And at the end of the day, it's really the thing that they would want to cut is anything on the domestic side. So you're going to take that with a grain of salt. But here is Mike Lee. They are pissed. Because there were at least a dozen Republicans that voted for this. And you know it's really just a function of like there's a storm coming we really want to get out of DC.
