Multiple Attackers - intro exercise

This is an introductory exercise. The scale of realism increases as experience grows

It is best to identify some basic, important things:
• The number of opponents.
• Know your allies and, if you really have any.
• The leader or the most aggressive one.
• Narrow, wide and high places.
• Obstacles and hazards.
• Routes to safety.
• A plan.

Line up the opponents so they become obstacles to each other,
Strike and Move,
Take out the leader quickly (the rest may scatter),
Occupy the high ground if possible,
Avoid entanglements unless using an opponent as a shield,
Use the vital strikes against overwhelming odds,
Be aware of exits and direction towards safety.
Onlookers and the public can be an advantage to you.

Situational awareness concerning multiple attackers is critical.
Positioning attackers in a line can save one's life. Allowing them to fan out is a costly mistake.

Inside the teachings of Orthomaxia, “Awareness of Reality” is cultivated. Accordingly, for the higher-grade Responsible students, I include the Vital Strikes, stick, knife and other weapons applications.
