Marc Van Ranst appears to be explaining how to lie with statistics and create fear with pandemics.

He seems to be saying that the 7 deaths per day figure he used with the pandemic, was in fact the normal rate of death normally every year. Is he using something that is totally normal that the public wouldnt know about, to scare them with it?

Is that how you see it? Have I misunderstood, context missing?
