Post-match press conference from Chelsea head coach Graham Potter after the 1-1 draw in their match against Nottingham Forest on Sunday (1st January).

Chelsea took the lead in the 16th minute as Raheem Sterling fired home from close range.

Willy Boly's attempt to clear Christian Pulisic's cross saw the ball loop on to the crossbar and Sterling was waiting to convert the rebound.

Forest levelled just after the hour as Serge Aurier fired home a loose ball from a corner.

the Blues have failed to win their opening league fixture of a calendar year since 2016.

After winning only one of their last eight league games, Chelsea are left seven points adrift of Manchester United in their increasingly difficult quest to finish in the top four.

Meanwhile, Forest moved up one place in the table to 18th, with only goal difference keeping Cooper's side inside the relegation zone behind West Ham United.
