Message to the Women of Iran

Every few years I'm asked to put out a message to protestors in Iran. This year I was also asked if I think the morality police will really be abolished, and the hijab laws really changed. So I'm answering, to my sisters in the street: Much more than that is about to happen.Show more

Here is my explanation of how the reformation of Islam will soon unfold.

NOTE: This past winter solstice night (or "Yalda" in Persian) occurred during the new moon. Turaj refers to the uncommon astronomical alignment in the ending line of his message when he says the "crescent moon gives way to the birth of the sun." In other words, Islam will soon be making way for a more open, tolerant society.
