Kinzua Dam and Upper Reservoir with Fish Hatchery another Jeep Cherokee XJ Get Out Adventure

We went to see the Kinzua Dam discharging high volume of water; boy were we surprised!

The amazing Kinzua Dam is not far from our home, so we decided to take a drive over and see it from the top and bottom.

Did you know that there is a 2-billion-gallon pond that sits 800 feet above the breast of the dam?

It is part of the Seneca Pumped Storage Generating Station, which is a hydro-electric power plant; they use “pumped storage” to help generate hydro-electric power. We took a ride up in our Jeep Cherokee XJ, to check it out! The upper storage pond is a sight to behold!

Later, we also found out what the long white buildings below the dam are all about too! Be sure and watch all the way to the end of the video to see what’s inside; it is amazing!
