Artist Bio: Poetic Descent is an American alternative metal band from Troy, Ohio formed in 2017. The band draws influence from artists such as Disciple, Project 86, As I Lay Dying, Underoath, and Dead Poetic. They have released several digital singles featuring guest vocalists such as Paul Carnahan (Time & Eternity) and Joel Holycross (Mahalath).
Poetic Descent has worked with both Jake Bryant (Dangerkids, Cinema Century) and Justin Moore (Darkroom Recording Studio) in the recording studio. They have performed at music festivals like Kingdom Come Festival in Greentown, IN, and SonFest in Mount Vernon, OH.
All songs are composed by Jared Lacey who was the vocalist of Voluminous Records band, Mayfly. The name Poetic Descent comes from the biblical Hebrew meaning of his first name which is "to descend.” Other notable members of the band include drummer Adam Thompson (formerly of Mayfly), and lead guitarist, Jason Elam.
