Eureka Seven AO (Astral Ocean) - Anime Review

Welcome to my review of the 2012 anime series, Eureka Seven AO (Astral Ocean)! This is the sequel to the classic mecha anime series, Eureka Seven, which follows Renton and Eureka's son, Ao. I had low expectations going into this one because of how much I enjoyed the original (there was no way they could match, let alone top the original) and I really do enjoy most anime series I watch, but man, was this a major disappointment. From the crazy story with time travel, to the boring characters when compared to the likes of Renton, Holland, and Dewey from the original series. The only things that I can praise are the few moments with Renton and Eureka, the music, the animation, and the mech battles. To name a few of the prominent voice actors, Johnny Yong Bosch and Stephanie Sheh reprise their roles as Renton and Eureka, Micah Solusod voices Ao, their son, Sainty Reid voices Fleur, Jad Saxton voices Elena, and Todd Haberkorn voices Truth, the villain of the series. I hate to sound so negative about this one, but it just wasn't that good. At some point I do plan on watching the movies because they focus more on Renton and Eureka, but my next review is going to be the anime classic, Outlaw Star. You guys should probably know my tastes by now, so feel free to give me some more suggestions. Thanks for watching, let me know your thoughts in the comments down below, and have a great day!
