Becker's Easy Eats S02E07: Easy Spaghetti Tom Yum

Tom Yum is a traditional Thai hot and sour soup popular all over the world. It uses a wide variety of herbs and spices including lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, lime, chilli, shallots and fish sauce.

Today I'm making a spaghetti dish using the traditional tom yum flavors without having to prepare the various spices. Using store-bought tom yum paste as base, my take on Easy Spaghetti Tom Yum uses fresh shrimps and shimeji mushrooms for added deliciousness.

If you don't like it too spicy, you can skip the chili flakes which I added for extra heat. Try it at home. It's a quick and easy meal to prepare!

Easy Spaghetti Tom Yum
Ingredients:

150g dried spaghetti
½ onion finely chopped
150g peeled shrimps
150g shimeji mushrooms
2 tbsp tom yum paste
240g canned chopped tomatoes
½ tbsp fish sauce
1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
Oil for sauteeing
Chopped cilantro (for garnish)
