22nd in our series the Prophet Zephaniah

I. The Power of Words - Proverbs 18:21
* A. Satan used deceptive words in the Garden to deceive our parents - Genesis 3:1-6
* 1. This was but the opening volley in the war of words
* 2. Satan is the Father of lies - John 8:44 
* B. God established the languages of all nations - Genesis 11:1-9

II. The Day is coming when God will Restore Pure Language - Zephaniah 3:9
* A. This will occur after God’s severe judgment in the battle of that Great Day of God Almighty - Zephaniah 3:8; Revelation 16:14  
* B. It will occur as the beginning of the Millennium - Revelation 20:1-4
* 1. During those 1000 years Satan will be unable to deceive anyone at all on earth
* 2. It will be a kingdom unlike any before it
* a. There will be perfect peace and justice
* b. No crime will occur as the saints at the direction of King Jesus will stop it before it could be done 

III. The Purpose of the Pure Language - Zephaniah 3:9-10
* A. True Worship of the Living Word of God- John 1:1-5, 14
* 1. To call on the Name of the Lord is to worship Him
* 2. The written Word of God points us to worship the Living Word of God
* 3. Pure worship requires a pure language with which to worship God and thus a renewed mind - Romans 12:2
* B. Pure Service to our King - No King but King Jesus
* C. Perfect Fellowship and Unity among the saints
* 1. We don’t passively wait, we prepare for that restoration
* 2. God calls us to speak the truth in love - Ephesians 4:15
