Prepping Egg Farm Crisis

The UK Egg Producers Alliance two weeks ago sent a open letter to the heads of all the major supermarkets in the United Kingdom.

The Letter was to draw attention to the increased costes (Feed, Energy, Labour, Inflation) and to demand a minimum increase of £0.40 per a dozen eggs to ensure that farmers are not losing money.

At present only 2 supermarkets have responded and none have commited to the prise rise.

A recent survey spoke volumes 71% of the Egg Farmers polled reported that if prices didnt increase within the year they would consider leaving the industry
