🇷🇺 The Russian long-range aviation received a modernized Tu-22M3 strategic bomber, while two Tu-160M ​​aircraft were sent for testing, United Airlines (UAK) announced on Friday.

According to the UAK, the Tu-22M3 received a number of modifications aimed at increasing its capabilities.

The corporation also sent two nuclear-armed Tu-160M ​​bombers for testing. One of the planes is a modernized version of an existing plane, while the other was built from scratch as part of Russia's efforts in recent years to restart its strategic bomber aircraft production program.

"Tu-160 is the most important part of Russia's nuclear triad, so the modernization of active combat aircraft and the renewal of production of these strategic bombers is our priority," said Sergey Chemezov, director of Rostec, the parent company of UAK.
