Amazon God of War Adaptation Will repeat the mistakes of Netflix The Witcher

Amazon Prime has had a less than stellar track record when it comes to adaptations of existing properties. On one hand there are the positive examples such as The Boys, Jack Reacher, and Invincible, however we also have some less than favorable examples such as Wheel of Time, and Lord of the Rings The Rings of Power. Well adding to the list of adaptations is Amazon and Sony Playstation adaptation of God of War. With head of Amazon Studios Jennifer Salke at the helm how will the story of such masculine characters such as Kratos and Atreus fit into the mold of series like a Wheel of time considering they will share a showrunner Rafe Judkins? Will Amazon learn from its mistakes as well as those of Netflix and The Witcher in regards to cannon and Henry Cavill?
