A dangerous snowstorm has reached New York, and locals are being encouraged to stay indoors.

Governor Kathy Hochul issued the emergency proclamation as many people lost power and were subjected to dangerously low temperatures.

Following a terrible and historic winter storm that blanketed the area and claimed more than two dozen lives, Buffalo braced itself for additional snowfall on Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service, up to 2 additional inches of snow were forecast for certain areas of western New York until Tuesday.
