“If you don’t like the weather in Kentucky stick around, it’ll change.” That was never more true than last week as we prepared for temperatures to fall over 40°F in just a few hours. Lows were forecasted to fall below zero and wind chills up to -20°F or even colder. This is brutal and extreme for our part of the world. We had to make preparations quickly to ensure that our animals would be able to handle the conditions.

This cold snap was unlike anything I can remember. I’m happy to report that everyone made it through this storm and that we are doing great.
