Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre holds a news conference in Ottawa, where he comments on the shooting death of OPP Constable Grzegorz Pierzchala on December 27. The Conservatives are calling on the federal government to reverse changes to bail provisions made through Bill C-75, which received royal assent in June 2019. Pierzchala's alleged shooter was out on bail and had been prohibited for life from owning a firearm. The Conservative leader also faces questions on other issues including the Competition Tribunal's rejection of a challenge to the proposed Rogers-Shaw merger, his criticism of the Bank of Canada governor, and ongoing flight delays and cancellations at Canadian airports.
