1 Thessalonians 5:21
Test all things; hold fast to that which is good.

Don't get sucked into a crowd or subculture, or mesmerized by some figurehead.

Everything you see and hear CANNOT be taken at face value, but as messages to piece together from God to YOU with your active seeking. That includes churches and pastors.
