On our trip Westward, we finally Texas, New Mexico and Arizona! Today we visit Palo Duro Canyon, the Barrington Crater and Maroon Crater, an extinct Arizona Volcano!

We decided to take our 99 Jeep Cherokee XJ for a Cross Country Overland Adventure. We loaded our Cherokee XJ with tent, folding camping cots, grill, blankets, sleeping bags, and extra gasoline! At a truck stop after filling up with gas, we drove on the scales to see how much we weighed; the ticket revealed we were at 5200 pounds; we were ready for anything!

We spent 31 days driving in 18 states, and put on over 8500 miles! Come along for the ride; we think you will enjoy it!

Today’s Adventure takes us into the great state of Texas where we take a look at Palo Duro Canyon and hike up to the “Big Cave.” We then head westward again stopping in New Mexico to visit some Navajo friends, then on to Arizona; we even stood on the Corner in Winslow Arizona and have the picture to prove it!

We also visited the Maroon Crater; an extinct volcano in Arizona.
