The offense "Deprivation of rights under color of law" is punishable by a range of imprisonment up to a life term, or the death penalty, depending upon the circumstances of the crime.

Sheriff Hunter said Deputy Jayme Gohde will be suspended without pay for two days and that Sgt. Randy Harrison will be demoted, suspended without pay for seven days and he “will not be eligible for any favorable action for two years.”
