[MAME] マリオうんどうかい | Super Mario World - Mario Undoukai (Early emulation, Multiple Playsessions)

Unedited recording of several playsessions of Mario Undoukai, with no commentary. I've done a Twitch stream on this prior - this footage may be more useful for people as reference footage in comparison.

This is currently listed as "incompatible" on MAME .250 but the game is generally playable with the caveats that A) The game will display an error and lock up whenever it tries to print, so have the F3 button ready for a reset and B) You're not using the foot controller that it originally controlled with. I wonder if this can be mapped to work with DDR Dancepads?

The mini-games have three category selections, but it seems the categories can select from up to 5-6 minigames with a degree of RNG. Unfortunately, I have no real way to control the RNG to play the games I want to show, and the RNG seems to favor certain games over others. Thus, you'll see a lot of repeats of the 100-meter dash and Yoshi Race. Also, the Mario Wiki article describes a Hurdle Race I've YET to see in all my attempts to play this.

Since I don't have the actual foot controller for this, this gameplay may not be respective of my actual theoretical skill level on a real machine.

By the way, the voice actors in this game sound like the same ones used on the Terebikko "Mario to Yoshi no Bouken Land" VHS.
