Australia's Electricity Network 'Unprepared'

Seeley International Managing Director Jon Seeley says Australia’s electricity network is under-prepared and won’t be able to support the electrification switch in households.

“Our electricity network is completely unprepared and will take billions of dollars and many years of investment,” Mr Seeley told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“The unintended impact of an incentive to rush this process, it will definitely increase emissions because it will reduce the use of gas and increase the use of coal.”
