Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, life has become increasingly luxurious, and the bourgeoisie factions of society have expanded tenfold. Over the last few centuries, the trend of the inflating middle class has been consistent, with the outlook on life switching from survival to ambition. Ambition comes at a price, of course, and we have seen a wave of luxury and comfort take over the world over the last few decades.
