Fatal Attraction Killer: Carolyn Warmus!

Hey everyone! Welcome to Keto & krime. In today's video, we will discuss Carolyn Warmus American former elementary school teacher who was convicted at the age of 28 for the murder of her lover's wife, 40-year-old Betty Jeanne Solomon. She is known as a fatal attraction killer.

𝐋𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞!

Carolyn Warmus was born in 1964 in Troy, Michigan, and grew up in Birmingham, an affluent suburb of Detroit. Her father, Thomas A. Warmus, was a self-made multi-millionaire who accumulated his fortune in the insurance business, founding the American Way Life Insurance Company of Southfield.

She was a bright student and passed graduating degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Elementary Education. Then, she started a job as an elementary teacher in Scarsdale, New York, where she met Paul Solomon, a fellow teacher who lived with his family, wife Betty Jeanne and daughter Kristan.

Paul had an extramarital relationship with Carolyn. She stated that he was obsessed with her and followed him, but it was the other way around.

In 1989 the body of Betty Jeanne was found in the family's Greenburgh condominium by Solomon. She had been pistol-whipped in the head and shot nine times in her back and legs.
After investigation, it was found that Warmus had obtained a .25 calibre Beretta pistol with a silencer shortly before the murder, which was strong evidence for police to arrest her.
Warmus was indicted on second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon on February 2, 1990. Warmus was incarcerated at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women. She filed a lawsuit for being the victim of sexual harassment, for which she received $10,000 from the Department of Correctional Services in a settlement.
