Twitter Security Issue - Impersonation Attack Documented 12-28-2022

This is a freebie from the Unfiltered realm that I am sharing with my regular audience.

Documenting a #Twitter #security issue that allows a potentially very damaging impersonation #attack. Video will be sent to Twitter support, and we have fully documented how this works and reported it to them by the time you see this video.

If you are on social media, I strongly suggest you take the following steps to protect yourself:

a) Establish a social media account on all major platforms, regardless if you have plans to use that account. Own your name first before others take it and use it against you.

b) Establish a paper trail on who you are - especially if you have a business.

c) Link all social media to your email account(s) so they cannot be stolen to an impersonators account. Have a REALLY strong email password which you change regularly so it cannot be easily hacked.

d) Let everyone know whom you may be working with who you are and establish a thriving community around you quickly to establish your identity.

e) Never publish your personal information such as birthdate, ID #s, address, or other personal details.

f) Understand that identities are stolen every day and take steps to lock down your credit (security freezes) and any other steps you need to take to own your identity, both financial and online.
