Our science textbook, "Slaying the Sky Dragon" published in 2010 mentioned the transfer of energy by absorption and the immediate emission of a longer wavelength, lower energy photon, thereby COOLING the Earth. During our climate lectures i discovered this Stokes Shift had been known since 1852.

We finished with a brief discussion of Delta Pilot, Karlene Petitt, who has 35,000 hours, certified in ten different aircraft and holds an Emery-Riddle PhD in airline safety. When she mentioned vulnerabilities to Delta, they paid a quack doctor to diagnose her as "bipolar, unfit for service". She won a judgment against Delta and this doctor, but the FAA took no action, proving medical malpractice includes more than the CDC, FDA and AMA.
