Performance notes:

First performed in 1903, Victor Herbert’s musical extravaganza, “Babes in Toyland” had immediate success, running for 192 performances in New York City. The story has been adapted several times for film and television, but a piece from the show, “March of the Toys,” has had probably the most lasting popularity.
