Salvete Amici. When we read about the decline of ancient Rome, we often read that after the fall of the western roman empire, the dark ages would start in Italy and in Rome. We are lead to believe that the splendorous city that Rome had been, and still was to some degree in 476 AD, was now beginning to fade with the collapse of the western empire. But I hope I can show you in this video, dear friends of roman history, that nothing could be further from the truth.
