What does Gideon of Judges 6 fame have to do with Jesus? Isaiah tells us they are linked. Gideon defeated a Midianite army 1,000 times bigger than his mere 300. Makes no sense right? Jesus defeated our greatest enemy Satan at the cross, the weakest of all methods to conquer a powerful foe. This is what makes the Gospel so wonderful. God's ways of redemption are not our ways at all. Aren't we glad?
